In July of 2009 I quit my job and moved from New York to Portland Oregon with everything I owned in a backpack. I had no plan and $3000 in the bank.

Everyone told me I’d starve, but I didn’t. Instead I adopted an minimalist lifestyle. I cooked all of my own food, I started working exclusively on the Internet. I learned to manage my time and empty my email inbox. It’s about the freedom that comes from leaving everything and embarking on an experience that actually means something.

I wrote The Art of Being Minimalist to help people declutter their lives, untangle their schedules, and find the freedom they’ve always dreamed they could have. My goal is to help people opt out of the perpetual motion machine of corporate consumer culture, begin creating, and find their own personal liberation.

The Art of Being Minimalist started with a blog, Far Beyond The Stars, where I write about how to live a simple minimalist existence. This blog proved so popular after only four months of writing, I knew I needed to write this e-book. I hope you’ll check it out and introduce yourself.

  • How to adopt the fundamentals of a minimalist life.
  • How to uncomplicated your existence.
  • Simple techniques to declutter your life.
  • How to harness the power of the minimalist workweek.
  • Find out about two huge purchase mistakes that almost everyone makes.
  • How to survive the recession (if it ever ends.)
  • Simple ways to take control of your time.
  • How being minimalist can help you live and work from anywhere in the world.
  • And much more.

This e-book contains 67 pages full of information that I’ve applied to my own life, and I hope can help you with yours. It’s beautifully illustrated with peaceful photographs from my travels.

“A simple and beautiful introduction to crafting a simple and beautiful life.” – Chris Baskind of The Minimalist Century.

“…this ebook will help you rethink your life choices, your consumption patterns and how you see the world.” – Tammy Strobel of Rowdy Kittens

The Art of Being Minimalist is on sale now for $9.95 for the first 1000 people who download it. After it will be $19.95.

The Art of Being Minimalist is all digital. It won’t take up space while you’re becoming minimalist.

This e-book was 100% independantly produced. I did not have a publisher or a design team. I hope you’ll consider supporting high quality independant writing.
